You might feel mild discomfort during PRP injections, often described as a tingling or burning sensation. Don’t worry—it only lasts a few minutes. To keep you comfortable throughout the treatment, we use a topical numbing cream and ice to minimize any discomfort.
There’s no significant downtime with PRP injections, but your skin may appear red for up to 24 hours after treatment, which is completely normal. You might also experience some swelling in certain areas. Many women prefer scheduling their PRP treatments later in the week to allow the weekend for recovery. Healing times can vary, especially if PRP is paired with microneedling, which may extend the recovery period slightly.
